Context: The SQA Engineer is responsible for testing and quality assurance of software applications, identifying defects, and ensuring a high level of product quality. They collaborate closely with software developers and senior QA engineers to implement effective testing strategies and improve the overall software development process.
Job Responsibilities:
✅ Assist in creating and maintaining test plans and strategies for software testing based on project requirements and specifications.
✅ Participate in defining test objectives, scope, test environments, and resources required for testing.
✅ Execute test cases and document test results to validate software functionality and identify defects.
✅ Report and document defects, issues, and deviations from product specifications using a designated bug-tracking system.
✅ Work closely with development teams to reproduce, isolate, and resolve defects.
✅ Conduct regression testing to ensure that software changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.
✅ Assist in performance testing to assess system stability, responsiveness, and scalability.
✅ Learn and utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and accuracy in the testing process.
✅ Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure high-quality software delivery.
✅ Create and maintain documentation related to testing processes, test cases, and other relevant artifacts.
✅ Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
✅ Perform functional, smoke, sanity, usability, and regression testing on each release.
✅ Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
✅ Participate in scrum meetings, planning meetings, and scoping activities and work independently and efficiently to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
✅ Learn new technologies, tools, and techniques with minimal supervision and ensure knowledge transfer.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Additional Requirements:
✅Understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
✅ Basic knowledge of software testing principles and techniques.
✅ Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks is a plus (Ex: Selenium, Jmeter and Postman).
✅ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
✅ Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
✅ Good understanding of SDLC, Software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
✅ Experience with different project management tools (JIRA, ClickUp and Asana).
✅ Experience in API Testing with Postman,Performance testing tool (JMeter).
✅ Ability to under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
